9 Stripe Double ipa
This big and bold Double IPA is all about the American hops. Multiple Citra additions from the middle of the boil onwards, this is all accented by Columbus and Centennial to really ramp up the hops.
In 1767, the Sons of Liberty adopted a flag called the "Rebellious Stripes" with nine uneven vertical stripes (five red and four white). It is supposed that nine represented the number of colonies that were to attend the Stamp Act Congress.
8.5 ABV — 100+ IBU
Notable ingredients: Citra hops, Centennial hops, Columbus hops
The 9 Stripe DIPA is an exceptionally smooth and hoppy brew. The hoppiness is there, but with a velvety smoothness that balances the edge. All of the IPAs are good, and even the Freeholder Pale Ale is hoppy enough to satisfy even the most discriminating hop head. Totally worth the stop!
